  • The property market in Kelantan registered improvements from previous year. Total value transacted increased by 27.4% in 1999 compared to previous year.
  • The agricultural and residential sectors dominated the Kelantan's property market by 50.2% and 43.3% share of total transactions.
  • The residential sector's performance was encouraging as total value transacted increased by 25.5% compared to 1998. Single and double storey terraced units accounted 80% of newly launched residential projects.
  • The occupancy rate for office space in Kelantan was stable at 95.8%. Up to 25% discounts on office rentals to retain the existing or new tenants.
  • The demand for commercial properties still low in 1999. However, the prices and rentals were stable at previous year's levels.
  • Industrial sector were slightly better than previous year.
  • Agricultural sector was still the most active sector in Kelantan. The total number of transactions dropped by 13.8%, but total value jumped 79.1% to RM83.68 million.
  • Industrial sector recorded a slightly improvement in total number transacted, but total value dropped by 15%.
  • The development land sector had recorded better performance this year, transactions increased to 86 from 17 and total value was RM1.79 million from RM0.95 million.
