Property Trend Perlis 1999
  • The property market in Perlis registered an overall improvement for first nine months of 1999. The total number and total value of transactions increased by 8% and 6.7% respectively. The total value in 1999 was RM89.77 million compared to RM84.14 million of 1998.
  • The agricultural sector still the most active, contributing 53.9% of total number transacted. In terms of total number and total value of transactions, there were an increases of 6.5% and 16.9% compared to the previous years drops.
  • The residential contributed 36.1% share of total property transactions. Both total number and value increased by 8.5% and 13.1% over the previous year.
  • The total number of transactions for commercial properties increased by 73%, however, total value dropped 20.3% compared to previous year.
  • The industrial sector had six transaction with total value of RM1.78 million over last year's value of RM540,000.
  • The development land sector was still soft despite signs of an economic recovery in 1999.
