Property Trend Terengganu 1999
  • The property market in Terengganu made a comeback with 2.6% and 4.2% increases in the number of transactions and value transacted. Industrial, residential and commercila sectors recorded increases at 15.4%, 13.3% and 13.3% respectively.
  • The residential sector still dominated with a 51% share over total transactions. The value transacted increased 22.5% over the previous year.
  • The office occupancy rate in Terengganu registered as high as 98.7%, increased by 0.9%.
  • The retail market saw increases in both total volume and value by 13.3% and 8.5% this year. Kemaman was the most active district contributed 37.5% of retail transactions.
  • The industrial sector recorded improvements in both total transactions and total value by 15.4% and 52.8%. Kemaman and Kuala Terengganu contributed 66.7% and 33.3% share of total transactions.
  • Agricultural sector, in terms of transaction activity, was second behind residential sector and accounting 35.5 share. The total transactions and value dropped by 6% and 26.2% respectively.
  • The development land sector registered drops in total volume and value by 10.6% and 6.6% from the year 1998. 53% of transactions were fell in prices below RM250,000.
