Property Trend Sarawak 1998
  • Sarawak registered significant drops in the total number of transactions for all types of landed property compared to 1997.
  • Price levels, however, did not change much.  The market was sluggish and interest was focused only on select property sectors or property types.
  • On the development front, those involved adopted a very cautious attitude and projects launched during the year were mostly on a small scale.
  • The property market in Sarawak in 1999 is expected to continue to expand, albeit at a reduced pace.
